New headquarters Oldelft Ultrasound at TU Delft Campus

On Tuesday 29 October Oldelft Ultrasound celebrated the special occasion of winding the first ceremonial screw anchor of their new headquarters. With this, TU Delft Campus welcomes another innovative company on the south of the campus. Oldelft Ultrasound develops innovative ultrasound transducers for the medical industry. The technology company works together in this with researchers of TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam. By becoming physical part of the ecosystem of TU Delft campus, the collaboration can be intensified.

Oldelft Ultrasound develops, produces and delivers high-tech innovative ultrasound transducers to producers of medical equipment worldwide. For the fast growing company of approximately 75 employees, the current housing at Delftechpark is becoming too small and not ideal for the business processes. The nature inclusive and circular building is expected to be delivered in December 2020.

Rob Smallenburg, CEO of Oldelft, is very pleased with their new location. “We are immensely proud of our new headquarters at TU Delft Campus. This great building will enable us to grow further and optimise the layout of our R&D and production areas. We’ve worked closely together with different faculties for years now and look forward to expanding this successful cooperation with TU Delft!”

Nicoly Vermeulen, member of the TU Delft Executive Board, is proud that Oldelft has decided to set up business at TU Delft Campus: “We see plenty of possibilities to work together, in scientific projects as well as in the development of medical instruments, for example in living labs. The arrival of Oldelft Ultrasound will also further strengthen the TU Delft Campus as a technology ecosystem where businesses and knowledge institutions work together on groundbreaking innovations.”

The building of Oldelft will be developed, designed and realised by cepezed. On behalf of ASR Dutch Science Park Fund, a.s.r. real estate has purchased the new headquarters of Oldelft Ultrasound. Next to Exact, this is the second building they invest in at TU Delft Campus.
