State Secretary Mona Keijzer (Economic Affairs) has responded positively to the call from the 10 largest science parks and innovation campuses in the Netherlands to invest in the physical aspect of innovation: prime locations where research and companies meet. Last monday, she received the Top Locations Manifesto during a visit to Kennispark Twente and agreed that it is precisely in these times of mostly working remote that it has become apparent how important meetings are for innovation.
The minister also complimented the 10 top locations for having joined forces. Keijzer understands the desire for more cohesion in policy and investments in campus development and indicated that the call is timely. The State Secretary could not yet make any concrete commitments about the Growth Fund, but she did indicate that this subject certainly deserves attention. Keijzer also understands the wish of the top locations to have more cohesion in the policy on campus development.

The 10 top locations are: Amsterdam Science Park, Brightlands Chemelot Campus, Campus Groningen, High Tech Campus Eindhoven, Kennispark Twente, Leiden BioScience Park, TU Delft Campus, TU Eindhoven, Utrecht Science Park and Wageningen Campus.
