The Startup Voucher will return in the form of the Student Entrepreneurship Voucher in 2025. You are free to apply via the application form but be aware that there will be some changes in the process.
The DE Startup Voucher is a grant of maximum €2.500,- available for students at the TU Delft to help turn ideas into business. The grant does not have to be repaid if it is spent for the purpose and in line with the conditions set out below.
Purpose
The DE Startup Voucher is intended to give entrepreneurial minded TU Delft students the opportunity to cover the first costs of developing an innovative idea into a business proposition. With the Startup Voucher the TU Delft hopes to contribute to fulfilment of one of the main valorisation goals: stimulating and supporting entrepreneurship.
With the DE Startup Voucher TU Delft lowers the financial barrier for finding out if innovative ideas can be turned into a viable business. With this instrument, TU Delft aims at scouting, creating and supporting startups and entrepreneurs.
Eligibility
The DE Startup Voucher can be granted to natural persons that meet the following conditions:
- He/she has an innovative idea and the ultimate goal to start a business based on this idea.
- He/she is a student at the Delft University of Technology or has graduated at the TU Delft for up to 6 months before application. Are you a PhD? Please contact one of the Innovation Scouts for any help in further developing your innovative idea.
- He/she nor anyone else working on the same project has ever received a DE Startup Voucher for this project.
- Any other conditions set by the Innovation & Impact Centre or the applicant’s faculty.

Application process
To apply for the DE Startup Voucher, one must fill in an application form describing the idea and the plan to develop and/or test this idea. After handing in the application form, your application will be reviewed by a committee. If your plan is approved and meets the minimum requirements, you will be invited to sign a DE Startup Voucher contract including the conditions specified below, after which the funds will be transferred to your personal bank account. After the project is finished you are required to hand in a report on the realisation of your plans.

Conditions
If awarded, the DE Startup Voucher will be made available under the following conditions:
- Only realised, eligible costs may be covered with the DE Startup Voucher, grantee may have to (partially) repay the DE Startup Voucher if one deviates from the granted application.
- Only costs with receipts or invoices of registered companies are eligible costs to be covered with the DE Startup Voucher.
- Invoices by entities held by applicant or partners in the project are not eligible costs.
- Hours spent by the team are not eligible costs.
- Unless invoiced by a KvK registered entity, hours of externals are not eligible costs.
- After one year remaining budget for which no eligible costs can be shown must be returned.
- Any other conditions set by the Innovation & Impact Centre or the applicant’s faculty.
